Laura Post: Expanding Print and Portraiture
January 8, 2020 – February 9, 2020
The artwork in the exhibit explores close personal relationships through the technical processes of printmaking and paper making. It includes two and three-dimensional portraits that incorporates woodblock prints and engraving. Handmade paper sculptures explore cross-generational interactions within families, both biological and chosen. These sculpture are comprised of printed portraits, life cast and molds produced by 3-d scans and CNC routing. Together the prints and sculptures demonstrate the interaction of two-dimensional and the 3-dimensional art.
