Dr. Robert Brower (Bob) is a retired superintendent in Indiana after a successful career as an art teacher at Carmel Jr. High and Carmel High School from 1973 to 1995. His Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees are in Art Education from Indiana State University. Following 22 years as a teacher, coach and department chair in the art department, Bob earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, after which, he became Principal of Westfield High School for six years, then Superintendent for North Montgomery CSC in Montgomery County for ten years. He is 69 years old and has his own educational consulting business. Presently, he paints oils and acrylics of regionalist scenes of Indiana as well as landscapes/water scenes from around the country. He also finds time to give individual painting and drawing lessons as requested.
Bob has always painted realistic rural farm settings, seascapes, waterways, and interesting topics that make great paintings. He has over 200 original paintings ready for sale. Although Bob has not actively tried to make a career out of his artwork, he eagerly displays his work for others to enjoy and buy. Bob has a vast knowledge of art history and traveled all over the world visiting dozens of renowned art museums and painting scenes from those visits.
