Larry Fentz is a local Indiana artist who has pursued watercolor painting for over 40 years. He is considered a transparent watercolor artist on the contemporary side of traditional.

Larry worked as a professional airbrush artist and inker for the Garfield comic strip for over 33 years and now is focused on his painting.

He is a member of the Hoosier Salon, the Kentucky Watercolor Society (KWS), a signature member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana (WSI) and a lifetime signature member of the Whiskey Painters of America. WPA is a miniature watercolor society with only 150 members worldwide that uses watercolors with some sort of alcoholic spirits to paint their 4x5in works of art.

Larry has exhibited in numerous shows in Indiana and Ohio including the Indianapolis Museum of Art with WSI. He is also published in the Feb., 2021 issue of the Watercolor Artist Magazine with his Whiskey Paintings and (The advantages of sketching and painting in miniature).

The Watercolors by Larry Fentz exhibit will be on display at the Blackford County Arts Center from May 24 – July 15.
